Honey

Honey is a beautiful pitbull who has been blind since birth. She’s a very happy and sweet and loving dog.

Animal Close-Ups

A few close-ups of animals. These are hard to get when they are awake and moving around. Barnacles are easy though. Lol. I like doing close-up (macro) photography. You just look kind of weird when you are lying down on a dock taking pictures of barnacles. Barnacles are strange creatures. When they are born they swim around with a sticky patch on the top of their heads. When the bump into something they stick to it and then grow a hard shell around themselves and use their feet to catch food that floats by. Human babies can be pretty sticky too. Teenagers have hard shells too, they just refuse to use their feet when they are hungry.

Monterey

I like the shots of the birds. Seeing so many wings at different angles is interesting.

I love the seals yawning. It looks like they are laughing at something hilarious.

The sea lions in the last one is a cute shot. The one in the foreground looks so full of herself and the two in the background seem to be so over her.

Central Florida Zoo

The two Cheetahs are brothers.

In the giraffe picture the odd diagonal striping in the background is because I was shooting through a chain link fence. The lens is able to focus through the fence so that it is not visually apparent in the foreground, but where there are point light-sources in the background from the gaps between the leaves the fence has an effect.
